What We Believe

What we believe

As evangelical Christians, we stand in the tradition of non-conformist protestant Christianity, as traced from the earliest times of the Christian church through the reformation to today.

We believe that God is personal and unites three persons in one - God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God created the universe and created man within it in His image.

We believe that mankind is separated from God because of sin, and that our goal is to be re-united with God by personal faith in Him, brought about by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.

We believe that God has revealed Himself to man through his word the Bible. By reading and understanding the Bible we come to the knowledge of how we can be re-united with God.

Our Basis of Faith

  • That the Bible is the inspired word of God. We aim to base everything we do and say on the Bible.
  • That God made the world and that He exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • That God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ to die in our place on the cross; that He was buried and was raised to life again from the dead by God, three days later.
  • That Jesus ascended to heaven and is alive today and that He is coming back to earth again to receive all those who have trusted in Him.
  • That He has sent his Holy Spirit who alone can show us that we are sinners, enable us to turn from sin to faith in Jesus and help us to live like Him. We are part of the world-wide Church which we call the body of Christ.
  • That Jesus Christ is relevant to people of all ages and background and He is the central theme of all our activities.
