GFI CLUB at Nant Coch Church
Go-for-it Club is for 7-11 year olds and meets every Friday during
term time from 5.45 - 7.15pm. Each week we have around 50 children
from the local neighbourhood meeting to have fun and make friends.
What the children say about GFI:
"Itıs fun and you can do what ever you like
such as cooking, craft, board games and cool stuff like that"
"There
is lots of fun to do and no one is nasty"
"Itıs a good place to make friends"
"We make things and we learn about God and
Jesus"
"Itıs a time to chill out and have fun and
listen to Bible stories"
"The leaders are fun and they make fun games
and we have parties"
Our team of experienced adults and young helpers run an exciting
and varied programme including:
- Crafts: something different each week, from making things
out of paper to cooking in our recently-modernised kitchen
- Games: both quiet and energetic, including board games and
team games
- Bible story time with drama, quizzes and videos
We also have a very popular Tuck Shop!

How to join
The good news is that GFI is very popular. The bad news is that
we often have a waiting list!
If you would like to know more, please send us an email and a leader
will get in touch with you, or you can just turn up on a Friday
night with a parent or guardian and have a look around. If we have
space you can join straight away, otherwise we will put your name
down on the waiting list and contact you when a space becomes available.
Aims of GFI Club
GFI Club is part of a programme of events put on for
our local community. It provides somewhere for children to have
fun, meet others and learn new skills in a safe environment
As a church we also aim to make God and Jesus real to the children
by explaining the truths of the Bible in ways that are relevant
to their understanding and needs. As part of this, we aim to make
them feel valued and secure and introduce the idea of serving others
by telling the children of others' needs and encouraging their support
and interest.
Our mission is to reach out to all in our local community, so we
value links with the parents and families of children attending
GFI. Parents and families are welcome to attend any of our other
events or services (including Grapevine for older children), and
occasionally we put on special events specifically for them.
