Bible reading
Ever bought a new washing machine? You know the basics, put the clothes in, add the powder, press the button, off it goes. But to get the best out of it, you need to read the manufacturer's instruction booklet. It's the same for our lives. God created us, so it makes sense to read his instructions for our lives, the Bible. Here is the part where it tells us what the first Christians did. |

3. They were like family together
We are children of God, that makes us brothers and sisters - a family. We call this family "church". Just like a human family, we're all different with different gifts and talents, and sometimes we get on each other's nerves!, but we are better together! Elsewhere the Bible describes it as being like a body. So let's play Beetle drive!! The link opposite has the instructions. |

4. They broke bread together
Some churches call this "communion" or "the Lord's supper". It comes from the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples. Here's a video to refresh your memory. It's when we take bread and wine, share it together, and thank Jesus for dying so we could be forgiven. Why not find bread and juice, and share it together as a family? Thank Jesus for all he has done for you. |

5. They prayed
Prayer is just a conversation with God. Remember he is in the room with you. Remember he lives inside you by his Spirit, so he knows what's on your mind before you start! He created you too, so he knows what's best for you. A conversation is two-way though, so remember to spend time listening and not just talking! We find it helpful to STOP and pray. |
