We hope you have enjoyed the sunny weather this week.
The activities for this Sunday, 28th June, are based on the story of Paul and Barnabas in Cyprus.
You can read it in Acts Chapter 13, verses 4 to 12.
Activity 1 – Write
After you have seen the PowerPoint in the service, you can look at the pictures on the sheet and decide what the characters are saying. You can write in the speech bubbles, or just tell the story. (We don’t know exactly what they said, so you can put what you think they would have said.)
Activity 2 – Discuss
Paul and Barnabas were telling people about Jesus. What do you think are the most important things they said? Write them down. You can talk about it with your family and see if they agree about what is most important.
Activity 3 – Model
Paul and Elymas both had a time when they couldn’t see, but God used those times to do good things. Find some modelling dough or pipe -cleaners or a paper and coloured pens or pencils. Close your eyes and use your materials to make or draw a person. Then open your eyes and see what you might need to do to make your model better.
Activity 4 – Pray
Pray. Thank God for being able to see, praise Him for all the wonderful things He has made, including you! Thank Him for being able to ‘see’, when you understand something and say, ‘I see!’ Say sorry for anything that you are sorry about, especially if you haven’t seen something you should have, or have seen something and not acted as you should. Ask God to help those who are struggling; ask Him to bring good things out of their difficult times. Ask God to help all of us to see and understand Him better. Tell God about the things you are finding difficult. Be quite quiet for a few minutes and listen to what God is saying to you. What can you do to be a blessing to others?
And finally
Don’t forget we’d love to see your pictures and activities so do post them!
