Please post your pictures on our WhatsApp page, so we can show them to everyone in next Sunday’s service!
Activity 1 – Reflection
This week we hear how Peter was thrown into jail because he was telling people about Jesus.
What do you think it was like in there? Spiders, rats…?! How do you think he was feeling? How would you feel? Can you write down what you think or draw some pictures?
We learn how his friends in the church were praying very hard for him all the time. Do you think that he knew that they were praying? Do you think he was praying too? What were they praying do you think?
Activity 2 – Prayer
It is so good to know that God wants us to talk to him about everything, whether we are happy, thankful, sad, worried, upset, frightened. You can use the prayer hand to help you to remember.
Activity 3 – Paper chains
Can you make some chains with the paper chains?
Who will you put handcuffs on?!
You could write ‘Jesus sets us free‘ on the back of the paper on one or more of them because He does !
Activity 4 – Set Free activity
God answered the prayers and sent an angel to set him free and open the doors.
How do you think he felt? Do you think that he thought that he was dreaming?
Colour in and fill in the missing words on the Set Free picture.
Activity 5 – Maze
Help Peter to find his way through the town. Do you think that he was scared?
Peter’s friends were amazed when Peter appeared even though they were praying hard for Him.
Can you draw some happy and some amazed faces? Are we sometimes surprised when He answers our prayers? Should we be?
Activity 6 – Verse from the Bible activity
Stick the sheets with the verses on your doors to remind you that God is caring for you all the time. a) You can colour in the letters b) You can print out the photo and verse
Activity 7 – Prayer
Thank you, Lord that you care for us all the time and that we can trust You. Thank you that we can pray to you anytime and anywhere and however we are feeling. Amen
