We had a wonderful time looking at Psalm 65 with lots of different ways of interacting with Psalm 65. We hope to display a good number of them over the coming week or so.
This picture is made up of words from Psalm 65 each element of the picture is made up from the words from one verse and visually represents something from that verse. For example the arms raised person represents the praise of God in verse one, the sun represents verse eight where the sun rises and sets.
This is our second in our series of sermons from the past about the Psalms. Todays offering is by Ted Pilling on Psalm 19
In honour of our harvest service looking at Psalm 65 on Sunday over the coming days and weeks we are going to add a few of sermons from the last ten years or so looking at the Psalms. If you enjoy these please leave a comment and we will look at putting up more sermons over the coming months
Harvest is the time when we look around us, and thank the Lord our God for all that He has created, then come together to share what He has given. Here at Nant Coch we do this holding a Fair Trade Harvest Breakfast from 9:30am, followed by a Praise Service at 10:30am, where we bring our gifts of tinned and dried food for Raven House Trust to share with those in need in Newport, and take a collection for Tear Fund to support those further afield.
This year we wanted to do more!
Our God is a Creator God, and He has made us creative too! So we are asking everyone to use Psalm 65 to inspire their own creations in art, poetry, music, flowers, food, Lego …. , and bring them along too!
Come and join us as we share our gifts and celebrate Harvest together!
This weekend is National Prayer Weekend, and we as a church would like to pray for you! Please send in your prayer requests, anonymously if you prefer, via the website, and we will pray for you. Alternatively, you are welcome to join us on Saturday 30th September from 8:30am for breakfast, or from 9:30am to 10:30am as we bring all these requests to our loving Father God in prayer.
