Search for new Youth and Family Pastor

Our Youth Worker leaves us at the end of August. The church elders and leadership team are changing the role of the church's only full-time employee to have a greater focus on work with families. The search is on, therefore, for a new Youth and Family Pastor to take up duties as soon as possible after 1 September 2012.

I just "stumbled" across your website, obviously not by accident, as nothing in a Christian's life is an accident, its an event organised by God... however, I must say I am rather impressed with the work that has gone into your website, and that is seems to be updated regularly. Too many churches make a big splash with a new online presence.. then forget to update... And then I was really surprised to see where you are based. I live in Barry but my mother in law (a member at Clyde St Pentecostal) lives in Pontymister, I must have driven in close proximity of you many times but never noticed you, and she knows nothing of you either. But the real reason for my sending this comment is to say any church who puts emphasis on the verse " a little child shall lead them", to my mind has to go forward so when I saw you are looking for a youth pastor/family worker my heart lept. Its something close to my heart and I want to say I shall be praying fervently that the Lord will reveal to you the right person for the position... His man, not just someone who seems qualified by human standards.. I have been blessed many times in my short Christian walk with being deeply involved in childrens/youth work... I know there is potential in every last one of them, some you just need a bigger shovel to dig and uncover it... but its always there..... I am going to pray for the childrens/family work that goes on in your church, I have not visited your church but, on reading your statement of belief and seeing all points are based on solid Bible verses...thats good enough for me... Again, I pray God will richly bless you with eyes to see through the people who present themselves for your position and let you see straight through to the heart....He has just one person ready for you, and you wont need to put out the "fleece" at all...it will be clear to you I am sure. God bless you in your work and thank you for being an encourage to me today via your exciting website and giving me yet another opportunity to pray..
